hey guys...just recently i got myself a sony bravia and a sony home theater...and it works all fine!
the thing is...i sumtimes like to watch movies late at night but the speakers seem to be too loud, and wen i turn it down, i cant follow the dialogue...so wat i want to know is..
1)if i can disable all the speakers and jus listen thru the tv's speakers
or
2)if i can disable all the other speakers except the center speakers(which means louder dialogue)

and i read in another thread about the speaker levels...but this doesnt seem to be the solution in my case as i dont want to screw up the defualt config and dont wanna keep adjusting it everytime....

thanks in advance guys

The default config is terrible. Every system needs to be calibrated to the room it's in. Once it's set right, you don't need to adjust it again, unless you rearrange things, to another position.

Most systems have a "midnight mode" which turns down the dynamics of the system, for the reason you're talking about. It may be called something else on your system, so read your manual to see how to use it.

After having listened to a surround system, there's no way I can ever listen to tv speakers again, under ANY circumstances.
