Hi all,
Almost ten years ago, my installers laid some raw (uncapped) Liberty Interflax Z-300 OFC "Audio Interconnect" cable between rooms (in the walls) for future expansion. Well, I'm expanding.
This cable has red and white lines and a shared shield. I'm thinking it's a stereo audio cable and was planning on attaching two RCA plugs on each end.
My Stinger RCA plugs take a line and a shield, but this cable provides two lines and a single, shared, braided shield. Should I separate the shield into two separate strands and then attach one to each RCA jack? Or, should I ignore the shielding and just attach the lines to the RCA plugs?
Or, am I going about this all wrong by attaching RCA plugs? Are these intended for something else?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Dave
