Help needed. Sony STR-DG820 vs Onkyo TX-SR507

Hello everyone.

Need some help deciding between the Onky TX-SR507 or the Sony STR-DG820.

It will be attached to a Panasonic plasma via HDMI and have a cable box via HDMI, DVD player via HDMI, X-Box via analog and VCR via analog.

Wondering which of these two receivers would be the best choice.

Wonder no more, hands down, without a doubt, between the two, choose the Onkyo.

What about the heat issues with Onkyos I keep reading about?

My receiver is located in a buitl in cabinet beside the flat screen.

As was said in the other thread...........the heat issues were mainly in the 800 series Onkyos. Also, as was said, all receivers generate heat, and shouldn't be closed in.

BTW........mods and admins don't like the same question asked in more than one forum area.
