Microsoft invitation to HTFers in LA to see some Win7 Media Center TV demos

I was invited to a Win 7 demo in LA where they will be focusing on Media Center, TV and extenders. I can't attend, but was given permission to extend the invite to a few HTF members. If you are interested in HTPCs or using media center as a whole house DVR this would be very interesting. It is geared toward press. If you are local to LA and are interested in attending please PM me.

Wanted to invite you to meet with Microsoft at Noon on Tuesday, June 9 in L.A. for an exclusive lunch reception with plenty of demos (seeing is believing) as well as food and drinks. With Windows 7 on the horizon, we’d like to give you the rundown on our efforts around TV on the PC with Windows Media Center, and our vision for the consumer entertainment experience in Windows.

Hi there,
I'm using windows7 RC for my pc/htpc and its fantastic.
My only gripe is the seeming inability to switch off the time shift buffer that is always on.
other than that its great

cheers
adam.

What do you mean by the time shift buffer? Do you mean the Live TV buffer? I've been using it for several months not as an HTPC, but as a TV server. I have 4 ATI tuners with Verizon cable cards hooked up to it. Its had its moments, but has been really solid the last build.
