Marantz MA6100 monoblocks

I have 7 Marantz MA6100s that I am looking to sell. All are still in perfect condition, both working and appearance. I will provide pictures on request. I'm only asking $120 for each as the alternative is putting them in storage for two years, and they deserve to sing. Let me know if you are interested in all, some, or one.

Re: Marantz MA6100 monoblocks

Upon further review I'm dropping them to $100 each, I think that's a bit more fair. And for no particular reason, here's a dancing banana.

Re: Marantz MA6100 monoblocks

I see in everything I search the highs on these aren't that impressive. What do you have to say about them honestly?

Re: Marantz MA6100 monoblocks

A little about my setup, I'm listening to them on a set of Mordaunt Short Avant 908s which are bi-amped, everything else is single. I am also using an Outlaw preamp.

I love these amps, from the performance to the looks. The sound is not colored and very clear, without getting sharp or shrill. They have a bit of a laid back character to them, which matches very well with my speakers as they have the the aluminum dome tweeters. As you know a big part of the sound are the other components they are connected to, but I chose these after a wide search and found them to suit my tastes the best.

It's hard to say how you will perceive them, since taste is subjective; but I can say you would not be disappointed because they have absolutely no weak spots and are solid all around performers. They provide more than enough punch for the low end and never sound overtaxed now matter how much demand I have put on them. I've owned these for 6 years and am not parting with them because I am in any way unhappy with their performance, but because I can't take them with me.

The amps are quite decent. Here's some reviews. Marantz Product Reviews

I have an MA-500 for the rear center of my main system (with a Bryston 14BSST for the left and right and a 6BSST for the center and rears). Doesn't see tons of use in the rear center in my case but I'm quite happy with it. I had a real expensive amp on the rear center at one point and it was overkill.

For the asking price, it's pretty hard to go wrong. I'd buy them if I had a place to use them.
