What models and numbers? Some times receivers are rated @ 6 ohms to advertise a higher power rating. In any event, power ratings on receivers and speakers are really not as important as many people think. There are many much more important things to consider.

If only numbers reflected what some manufacturers try to make it seem they reflect. Drawing the conclusions you are trying to from numbers is like looking at the gas mileage of two cars and wanting to determine which is safer in a crash.
They flutter behind you, your possible pasts.
