Colors on digital channels are off...please help.

I have a 46" HD Toshiba projection TV, about 5 years old. I have an HD cable box hooked to it to receive digital and HD channels. Yesterday, I turned on my TV, and the digital channels colors were off...blues were purples, greens were browns and yellows, and so on...I turned the channel to the HD channels, and everything was fine. Is this a problem with my cable box, or is a problem with the TV? Is there a simple solution in the settings, or is there a more serious problem? I turned the TV on today, and the digital channels were fine but after a few minutes, went back to having color problems. Thanks for your help.

Sounds like a cable box problem -- ?? heat related since it got worse after playing fine for a short period or just a software corruption.

Is there a wipe/reset function available? Possibly just exchange the box for a new one at the Cable Office -- hopefully they won't require a service call.
