greetings all...am thinking about using my onkyo 876 as a preamp with anthem pva 7 with Paradigm studio 100 v.5 system...sound crazy??

Overkill, yes.
Crazy, no.

You getting the Anthem cheap? Otherwise, all you may really need is a 2ch amp to really drive left and right front as less power is required for the rest...
