Hi everyone. My main receiver, a Yamaha RX-V1000, is driving a 5.1 surround system. I also have a 3 cabinet speaker set-up throughout other rooms in my home that total 1500 Watts and I would like to make these a zone2 from my main receiver. This is definitely an option on the Yamaha, however, I need to use an amplifier or receiver to get that extra push for power that the main receiver just can't do, with that type of load. All amps I've looked at don't have a remote control POWER function, as I'd like to macro in on my Yamaha remote to turn on the amp/2ndreceiver to power on when I want to use zone 2, without having to manually turn it on every time. So, if I want to accomplish this, should I be using a receiver with the remote control power capabilities, and if so, with what type of power output to drive the 1500watts of total speakers? How would I go about wiring it so the main receiver still drives everything? Thanks to any who offer their assistance in setting me in the right direction.
