It's a code in every set no matter where you buy. Worth $8.50."Visit Hollywood Movie Money | Start for participating theaters in your area."
Re: HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: A Bug's Life
Without the promo code there is no way to verify which theaters take it.Re: HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: A Bug's Life
Every chain that I've ever heard of accepts those tickets. Anything is possible but if you're going to a national theater chain, I don't think you'll have any problems using the ticket.Re: HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: A Bug's Life
The code is 34372A but their dates only go out till the 25th. Nevertheless you can look at current stuff and see the different theaters that work.Re: HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: A Bug's Life

This code you gave, if it's from your copy of the movie, I shouldn't use it, I presume it's a one time use code.

Re: HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: A Bug's Life
Someone on that other forum reported not receiving any movie cash with their copy from Amazon. If true, it sounds like the X-Men debacle all over again. I could be persuaded to spend $28 if I was guaranteed $8.50 in movie cash, but it looks like another gamble.Re: HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: A Bug's Life
I've stopped buying BDs using the movie cash justification (I'll buy them if I like them, regardless of movie cash). The reason? More often than not there are restrictions that preclude me from using it at my favorite local theater, the Mann Village. Sometimes it's not on the list of theaters. Sometimes it's more of a hassle to enroll and receive the tickets rather than just outright pay for the movie.I sure hope this movie cash works out for those of you who are going to use it though. I've just given up with the amount of bureaucracy that seems to be involve in some of the "Free offers" we get as an enticement to buy things.

Amen, Carlo. This reminds me of a cartoon I have hanging in my office. A salesman in a pet shop tells a customer "if you buy the goldfish, I'll throw in the aardvark".

Considering the history of previous Pixar releases on BD, I expect the price of this disc to drop to around $20 in a few months. I will buy it then. Patience is a virtue.

Couldn't agree more, Scott. And the way we've seen some of these types of things go down, it wouldn't surprise me to see it even cheaper--within a month!
I have no knowledge that will happen...but I've seen lots of new releases end up in some special-deal sales very quickly lately. And since ABL amounts to a "B" title in the Pixar canon, I'm going to be patient, too.
I also figure it's a title I might end up finding "used" somewhere soon.
There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Re: HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: A Bug's Life
I don't understand Disney's pricing. Over on Amazon, the pre-release price for the Blu Snow White is $26 but ABL is $28. I know ABL is more recent but it's still considered a catalog title isn't it? I thought SW was considered one of the crown jewels of the Disney canon.Maybe I'm just too old and remember SW better than many contemporary parents. I would think if a parent was looking for a title for the kids, the legendary status of SW would make it a more urgent purchase than ABL. Now if the parent is looking for something for himself/herself, you buy both (if they priced it reasonably)

Go figure.

Re: HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: A Bug's Life
It's starting to look like the movie cash might be a Best Buy exclusive I guess. If so, I apologize for spreading misinfo. Look for a sticker on the sleeve (under the shrinkwrap) shaped like a ticket to confirm. As far as the hassle of it, it looks like it will work for me at a quality theater I like and it took all of 2 or 3 minutes to print out.
Re: HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: A Bug's Life
The movie cash is not a Best Buy exclusive, since I got my copy at Fry's.Also, the movie cash is good at pretty much every Regal owned theater that can even show Up here in Portland, OR.
On a "glitch-related note," is anyone else having issues with the image getting pixelated, just for a second at the beginning when Flick is running to drop of his seeds at the rock? I have noticed it now, and what is funny, when I pause and reserve the Blu-ray and move forward again, it is gone. But it has done this now three times, each only once a day the first time I play that scene. There is no noticeable lock up or slow down and nothing visible on the surface of the disc.

Thanks for this! TRU to his word.
Strange that I see no advertisement to this effect, but I'm not complaining. My TRU had copies with the free 'UP' ticket too. Saw 'UP' 3D yesterday and it was wonderful.

TRU? Never heard of this.\"My opinion is that (a) anyone who actually works in a video store and does not understand letterboxing has given up on life, and (b) any customer who prefers to have the sides of a movie hacked off should not be licensed to operate a video player.\"-- Roger Ebert

For what it's worth, my copy from Amazon did not have movie cash. Little disappointing, but not a huge deal since it's hard to make it to the theater these days with a rambunctious toddler around.

Got to watch this tonight and the presentation was even better than I expected. It looks stunning and the sound was great---trult deserving of the 5/5 score. The special features are also good and well done. So Matt why a 4.5 and not a on the special features?

Oops. I've read through the thread before, but either forgot about that post or skipped over it. Still a great disc and thanks for the reply.
