deck speaker hookup help

I'm currently running a Direct TV HD receiver (h21man080110ncD) with a Panasonic TH-50PX75U HD Plasma tv and a Samsung HT-TX75 home theater system...
I just purchased a pair of Yamaha NS-AW390WH 2-way outdoor speakers that I would like to install on our deck so we can listen to the sirrus music that comes with Direct TV... I've got plenty of heavy speaker wire but need a way to connect the speakers to my system (no extra speaker outputs on the Samsung or anything else... My question is - How can I wire this system up??? Do I need another amp??? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated... Cost is a factor... Thanks for any help or suggestions... Tom

I don't really see an easy way to do it from the Samsung. The only type of outputs I see in the that could carry audio are the HDMI and the headphone jack. You would definitely need a separate 2 channel amp and some way to convert one of the outputs to stereo RCA plugs to go into the amp. It might be possible from the headphone jack, but then you would always have to leave the front panel open and have a wire running from it to the other amp. It doesn't look like that system has any kind of line-level audio outputs.

I think you're right... Maybe I'll set up my other TV and non HD direct box and get a reasonable two channel amp or amp dvd player with two seperate speaker hookups (A - B)... Any suggestions on a reasonable but capable amp or amp/dvd... would be appreciated... I'm currently living in the outback of West Virginia and don't have any places nearby to shop and compare...

I feel your pain as far as local shops. We moved to Alabama a little over a year ago and there is nothing here. The only local shop that wasn't that great closed a few months ago. I've usually done my shopping over the internet anyway. I've got my outside speakers running off of a Yamaha that I bought to run two sets of additional speakers in our old house. Now it's just running one set of outdoor speakers. I've been very happy with it, but I bought it a couple of years ago and haven't reallly looked at any current offerings. Maybe someone else will have some suggestions.

I just bought a Yamaha YHT-391 on eBay... That should "get me hooked up"...
