DTS-HD and DTS-HD MA can someone explain this to me?

Hey all, I'm new to the next gen sound formats and am trying to figure out the stuff concerning DTS-HD as it will pertain to my upcoming receiver upgrade.

From what I can tell, it appears that there are two different next gen formats for both DD (DD++ and Dolby TrueHD) and DTS (DTS-HD and DTS-HD Master). Is this correct?

Assuming that I'm right about the stuff I just mentioned (and I'm not an idiot ) would it be safe to assume that if your receiver can do DTS-HD Master it can also do DTS-HD?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the Onkyo TX-SR607 or the Yamaha RX-V465 and I've run in to a small snag concerning this stuff. It appears as though the Yammy does both formats for DTS and the Onky doesn't. The race is pretty close between the two right now and this could be the deal breaker. As I say I'm finally wading in to the next-gen pool so some of this stuff is completely different from the old DD and DTS 5.1 days.

Can someone please help me clear this stuff up? Thanks!

According to the manual, the Onkyo 607 does DTS-HD as well as DTS Master Audio. Since you have narrowed it down to those two I suggest you download both the Onkyo and Yamaha manuals and give them a good going over. You may see something in them that you weren't aware of.
