samsung 240hz vs. new LED

I was just wondering what would be a better choice? I know the LED is more expensive but I figure it is just because It is so thin and saves energy.... Also It is already marked down at Bestbuy for 1899, which is the same price or a little more than the 240hz. I kinda want the LED more just because it is so slim but is the 240hz a difference than the 120hz? Will it take away that halo effect like when a baseball player throws a baseball you can see the the ball with shadows around it....

Anyone got an idea??/

Re: samsung 240hz vs. new LED

Greetings

Still slower than plasma sets ... if you are after speed.

We don't watch TVs from the side to admire how thin they are when we watch movies and tv shows.

If the goal is to admire how thin a TV is ... rather than what is on the TV ... then the priorities are kinda messed up.

I agree with Michael. But the bottom line is how does it look to your eyes. I would see if you can watch both sets outside their in store feed and compare the two to see which you like better. I LOVE the look of the new Samsung and the image is great too.
