hi everyone. Well, I just got my first blueray player. In my bedroom I have mirage nanosats prestige with mirage sub and a denon avr 1508. In the living room I have mirage omnisats/w mirage sub and the harmon kardon avr 230. Now that I have a blue ray with my new 1080 lcd, I want to step up and get a new higher end receiver with true hd. Probably one of the denon receivers for 1000. My problem is what other receiver to keep and which one to sale. To me the Harmon Kardon sounds cleaner and better with music even though its 5 years old. The denon, only a year old, sounds better with music. Anyone with any advice that may have one of these receivers? Thanks for your input!

Keep the Harman Kardon much cleaner sounding. Don't know anything about Denon. Harman Kardon real high end stuff.

my bad. the denon sounds better for movies and surround sound. The harmon kardon does sound clean but Denon is great and probably gives more pop. anyone else have any feedback?

Keep the H/K. You'll get more resale value from the newer Denon and in a bedroom environment, the quality difference between the Denon and H/K is likely negligible.
