Cabasse Sub and Denon AVC cable question

Hi there,

Simple question and hopefully you will excuse my ignorance.

I have just purchased the new Denon AVC3808K DENON - ??? - Premium Audio Brand [ PRODUCTS/????/AV????????/AVC-3808A ] and I am coupling it to a Cabasse Eole 5.1 system. My question concerns the cabling between the subwoofer and the AVC. From Cabasse the cable is a two to one, but their own manual shows it as a 1 to 1 set up. So I am confused. I have extracted a .pdf file showing this along with a crude drawing (in red) of the cable I was supplied with (attached).

Could anyone let me know why I have a two to one cable or should it in deed be just 1 to 1 as per the manual? Which end does the two go two as the amp seems to want only one?

I have asked Cabasse but they do not respond at all......

Many thanks!!

Re: Cabasse Sub and Denon AVC cable question

Post a link for the Cabasse manual and maybe someone will be able to help out.

Re: Cabasse Sub and Denon AVC cable question

Thanks Wayne,

Good idea...

THis is the later version, but I checked the manual and the setup is the same when it comes to the sub woofer. And it seems to be just the same as in my manual. I am guessing the R & L feeds go into the sub and the single goes into the AMP as there seems to be one only in the Denon?

Thanks

That is correct. This subwoofer is pretty much like the kind you would by as a stand-alone unit (i.e., not part of a package). In reality, all you need is one of the sub's inputs connected from the AVR for things to work, but it's fine to use both of them.
