Hook Up Equalizer to Denon AVR 1609?

Does anyone know if it's possible to hook up a stand alone graphic equilizer to a Denon AVR 1609 receiver where I'd get the audio to pass through the equilizer to deliver equilized audio through my 5.1 + subwoofer system?

Any instructional help for an audio-challenged member would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Re: Hook Up Equalizer to Denon AVR 1609?

You could hook 3 two channel eq's between a dvd player with 5.1/7.1 analog outs and the multi channel analog in's on the 1609. But adjusting the Audyssey eq manually in the 1609 would have to be a better way to go.

Audio Control and Rhane also made multi channel eq's for use with 5/7.1 systems. I'll be putting one of these on Audiogon.com in the near future. $299 shipped.

Any particular reason you want to add an external EQ to your Denon? Have you tried Audyssey? Or, use the built in graphic EQ.
