Free, if you come pick it up in Alexandria, Virginia. You will need at least two friends (and gloves to keep the black lacquer surface smudge free) to help lift this TV (250 lbs). It will only fit on a pickup truck or in a van. You can Google it to check dimensions if necessary. I'm offering this to you folks before listing it on Craigslist.
Bought new in 1999 as the centerpiece of a high-end Home Theater, this 3-gun CRT rear-projection TV was rated #1 by many reviewers. It has less than 700 hours on the CRTS. Externally, it looks new and except for an intermittent fluctuating brightness issue, it still looks stunning. Lived in a non-smoking, no-animals, no-kids home.
Intermittent brightness issue: At least once during a four-five hour viewing session the TV increases in brightness as if you had turned up the brightness setting several notches. This symptom lasts for two to five minutes, then the TV goes back to it's normal superb picture. While distracting to a degree, the screen is still very watchable. I have determined this is a problem in the TV and not with the source material.
The intermittent brightness fluctuation is the reason I'm not selling this TV and I'm offering it for free. PM me or respond to this thread for details. Again, it's only available for pickup. Shipping boxes and owners manual available with the unit.
