Do you think that this great TV series will ever get a DVD release?

Some websites say that the Jack Warden series had 26 episodes.
However, there are also some websites that says there are only 23 episodes produced.
Who knows it exactly???

Re: Jack Warden: The Bad News Bears

I read (somewhere) perhaps on this sight, that TV shows had to have at least 90 episodes to be on dvd. For example. Chico and the Man were just shy of that amount and for that reason (some say) it won't be on dvd for full seasons. Personally, I don't believe it. From what I've seen on dvd over the years, I would bet that ANYTHING that has ever showed its face on TV could reserect on dvd.

Re: Jack Warden: The Bad News Bears

THe number of episodes a show ran has *nothing* to do with whether it will be on DVD or not. I think you're talking about what the standard used to be for a show to get sold into syndication years ago which wasn't always true either.

The CBS Syndication Bible says this show was actually transferred to HD last year so that means the elements are in better shape for a DVD release than many others. But so far there's been no indication of one.

Re: Jack Warden: The Bad News Bears

That was an awesome short lived series. It had a woman DR on it she was Anne Hicks from the 7th Heaven series.
Some of the ball players were famous child actors. Jacoby, Christof St John, Corey Feldman to name a few.

Actually CHICO AND THE MAN is a Wolper Production title that is now owned by WARNER BROTHERS and they've been kinda show to expolit the older Sitcoms in their library.
