Denon DHT-FS3 as a center channel

Dear All,

I need some advice here. I currently have the following items:
TV - Panasonic TH50PZ800U THX Certified
AV Receiver - Onkyo TX-SR706 THX Certified
Rear Speakers - in Celing Polk
Front Speakers - need to purchase
Denon Soundbar DHT-FS3 with sub

Is anyone out there using their Denon Soundbar as a center channel speaker? The manual states that it can be done but I am little weary of this. Since space is an issue I need some small L/R speakers. Are ORB's any good?

I would greatly appreciate some feedback.

Thanks,

No, don't use the soundbar. It is extremely important that your L/C/R speakers be timbre matched. This normally means purchasing speakers from the same line (L/R with a dedicated center). Anything else will result in the sound changing as it pans from left to right.
