I'm new here and I hope this is in the right section. I looked through them all and this seemed like the best location because I think the satellite system holds the issue.
I have a central place in my basement where all of my feeds come from. I have both my Satellite feed from the dish and my coaxial feed from my security system in my basement. In the basement, I only have 8 coaxial cables that are ran through out the house to provide the 8 TVs in my house with a feed whether it be my Satellite or the security system.
What I'd like to do is be able to get both my Satellite feed from my dish AND my Security feed into those 8 cables. So I would like to couple those two signals and split them into 8 individual feeds. My only issue then though is even if I got that to work, I doubt that the Satellite feed and the security feed going through the one coaxial will be deciphered by the satellite box as two different channels.
So I'm trying to find a solution that allows me to get both feeds to each TV using only one coaxial between the source of the two signals and the TV.
