Hi All,
I thought I would ask the pros for some advice.
I am trying to come up with the best way to wire a set of rooms with speakers and audio/source control. Here is the situation.
There are 4 rooms with 2 speaker pre-wires in each. All of the wires go to a central location where the receiver is. In addition, there are two patios which each need a pair of outdoor speakers. In the main home theater room I have a set of klipsch reference series (5.1 setup with no side speakers).
In the best of all worlds I would like to be able to control the volume and the source of audio from each room (i.e. cd, radio station, etc.).
1. Could you recommend a good receiver that might have some ability to take a signal to change the source?
2. Any ideas of what sort of volume/source control device I might use in each room? And what about the outdoor, any weatherproof?
3. Any suggestions for outdoor speakers?
4. Any suggestions where I might research solutions on the web or otherwise?
Thanks for any and all ideas! I figure someone out there has already done this and I can learn something.
