Re: Proficient LCR In Ceiling Speaker Thoughts
I'm not familiar with that specific speaker, but I can tell you I have some 6" Proficient in-ceiling speakers in my house and I love them.

It is always the ideal to have the center left and right speakers the same. I have proficient 6" rears in my bedroom 5.0 system and they sound terriffic. I would think as a 5.1 "stealth" system like you're describing that they would be a great option. You won't get much bass though. If you can finegal an infinite baffle build for your sub that would be great.

Someone told me about these enclosure devices that can be bent and slipped into the ceiling vs. new construction in which you could mount a hard enclosure in place. Thanks...

I have heard of these types of enclosures. Never heard one though. I think that it's usually a set of an enclosure with a speaker and they go together / come in the same package. Sound travel is a big problem with in-walls and in-ceiling speakers.
