I am afraid any list I make would really be films I would love to have new transfers for and released as pressed discs. Sadly, Warners have already released, via the Archive program, films I was hoping for a pressed DVD from upgraded material. Among these are THE ADVENTURES OF MARK TWAIN, ROUGHLY SPEAKING, TOO HOT TO HANDLE, the Barker Tarzans, etc.
This list represents films I would love to have on restored, pressed discs:

I have a friend that would love to have End of the Road (1970), which I believe Warner owns through Allied Artists. The question is, will they release an X-Rated film (a definite R by today's standards)? I guess they could always give up the rating and release it 'Not Rated".

Nancy Goes to Rio has already been released as a double feature with Two Weeks With Love. I like to see the other titles then the complete Jane Powell at MGM would be out, if you count the WA title Luxury Liner.

I was always hoping for some sort of special edition, or at least restored version of the Gene Kelly all-dance film INVITATION TO THE DANCE. I do not expect that anymore.
I saw it at Lincoln Center almost 2 years ago on the big screen. While I realize it is not a mainstream film for everyone (actually it was not even considered "mainstream" back in the 1950's when MGM finally gave it a limited release to a few art-house movie theaters) it is still a very worthy and entertaining film with some amazing dancing.
This I would buy,when it (in all likelihood) ends up being released via the WarnerArchive.

THE TRIAL OF MARY DUGAN (1929) is my only request. It is Norma Shearer's first talkie and one of the first sound produced by MGM. It was considered a big hit at the time of its release, but has not been shown on TCM for over a decade. It was remade in the early 40's, but this is the version early-talkie and pre-code enthusists are dying to see. I will beg, if necessary :)

Well they're going to release Norma's last silent, A Lady of Chance so I wouldn't be surprised if Norma's early talkies are released like The Trial of Mary Dugan, The Last of Mrs. Cheney and Their Own Desire.

Unfortunately, The Trail of Mary Dugan (1929) and its remake (1941) are currently in legal limbo. They can't be shown on TV or distributed on video thanks, in this case, to a decision from the Supreme Court called the Abend decision (1990). The Supreme Court decision has to do with the original copywrite holder of the property that the movie is based on; in the case of Mary Dugan, the play. If all the contracts and agreements surrounding a film are expired, it basically reverts the copyright back to the original author, so their estate has to be negotiated with again to get these movies out there. Other movies affected by the Abend decision include Beyond the Forest (1949) with Bette Davis and Ceiling Zero (1936) with James Cagney. Luckily, in the last two cases, the movies were released on VHS before the decision came down, so you can still track those down. Mary Dugan wasn't so lucky.

I actually agree that they seem to be concentrating specifically more on the obscure recently than anything else. They ought to be releasing a better mix of more recent -- as in titles from the '60s onwards -- titles in addition to these incredibly obscure, extremely old movies that a lot of people have never seen, much less heard of.
Mixing it up a bit would make the whole enterprise more appealing, as would re-instituting the monthly codes to make the titles more attractive. As it is, I haven't seen anyone post a code to bring the prices down to $15 a piece or so in weeks. I have zero interest in paying $20 a title for the quality of product they are delivering.
