I'm new to the HT scene and I'm building a dedicated room in my basement. I need some input on it if possible.
The room is 12 wide by 28 long and ceiling height of 7'8"
It will be totally dark and is constructed with Quietrock on alll sides and the ceiling with another layer of regular sheetrock on the ceiling. It is fully insulated with sound absortion insulation.
I have started to get some recommendations on equipment but depending on who quotes a lot of information.
Here is the latest list of proposed equipment, does this sound like the right stuff for this size room? It will be carpeted and have 6 Berkline theater seats in there.
It will also have a Wii, PS3, Xbox-360; there will be a gaming plate to accommodate these. This system will include an HD cablebox and Blu-Ray player and be controlled by an RF operated remote.
