My dog Bear had 2 litters with a total of about 25 pups.

A few died, unfortunately. Goldie in my sig was THE pick of the second 13-puppy litter. I was wishing I could put that whole litter on ice and have Bear pups for life. Well, maybe just 5 or so, cryogenically frozen. ...quite serious about that.

Not trying to thread jack but ...
I don't know if I have ever heard anyone say they wanted to freeze dogs before.

I could do a Korean or Chinese joke here but... *resists the urge*

I know it sounds weird. But I'd certainly want each one to have a long full life (Bear was nearly 16 when she died of old age, Goldie 11.5 when she died of cancer) and I frankly trust very few of the people I ended up giving them to in the late 90s.

Me and my doctor talked once about how disposable pets are to so many around here. I have people like that on my street and it's just sad. I've thought about "adopting" a dog from my neighbor down the road. But...that's just my motivation, along with wanting the offspring to such a great dog as Bear. When I gave them away I told each person to bring the dog back at any time during its life it they found they couldn't take care of it anymore. I regret not putting that in writing so each one would remember.

You can tell that the momma dog, with the pink bunny ears, is embarrassed.

I think the dad likes those ears. Maybe it helps him stand out from the other dudes vying for her attention.
