Killing off characters...a big tread this season (all show's this season spoilers)

Well it seems this is the season of killing off characters at the end of the season. So far we have.....

CSI:NY-Will kill off a major character.
Desperate Housewives-We heard one of them will be offed.
Smallville-One longtime and one newer cast member will die.
Lost- Another 2 will die.
Chuck- A character will die.
And these are just the ones I have heard about.


I am not really a fan of most tv character deaths. It's mainly used for some shocking story plot that usually takes a character I like off a show.

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

Not sure item #2 needs to be in a spoiler, it was announced in last weeks' preview. Anyhow, they've been terribly misleading in previous teasers so I'll believe it only when I see it.

Normally don't care for it when characters are killed off. I think losing Charlie and Boone from Lost was unnecessary. Also miss the pre-Ziva character on NCIS.

Although sometimes things improve. Never did care for Warick on CSI. Heroes also had that female character who cried tears of black blood? and everyone around her died. Never knew what happened with her, but she wasn't needed in the first place, don't miss her at all.

I watch four of the five series you mentioned so it will be fun to see how things turn out.
