Careful selling your old hard drive. A hacker might buy it and take your personal info even if it's erased. I read about this. That's why I have a stack of HDs in my closet.
Smash that thing to pieces with a hammer and consider the money you lost on it a fee you paid someone else to do it. Hee hee! Put the pieces in the garbage over a long period of time (save some to do it) because hackers can put it back together and still get info off of it!!

I remember Leo from The Screensavers (TechTV) saying there was no way to truly erase a hard drive of personal info and you shouldn't sell it but destroy it completely. I'd suggest a quest to Mount Orodruin and pack plenty of Elvin bread.
