Sound glitch

I have an LG PG60UD plasma and LG HT953 home theater setup. Every so often the sound drops out for a split second (maybe every 10 min or so). Does this on free to air and DVD but only with home theater speaker system. Does not do it when using only TV speakers. Frustrating on an otherwise great system. I have used HDMI cable and Optical calbe as suggested. I have shortened some speaker wires to fit. Any suggestions?

This is using the DVD built-in to the HT953 system? You might have to contact LG for warranty service. Or the store if within return period or if you have warranty with the store.

I have had a similar issue. I went away when I swapped to a different brand of HDMI cable.
Worth a shot if you have a spare or one on another piece of equipment.
