Cable(s) assitance for 2.1 HT setup

I just bought a pair of KEF IQ5's. I will be paring these with a Velodyne VX 10 sub and an Onkyo SR304 receiver.

Can some one please recommend what sort of cables to buy to connect these to the receiver? This is my first time and I have no idea about this.

The cables need not be long. 6 feet max should be fine.

Also, should I use a Y cable or a M to M for the sub woofer-receiver.

Thanks

Re: Cable(s) assitance for 2.1 HT setup

Just go to radio shack and get some speaker wire (14 or 16ga), cut them to length, strip the ends, and plug em in. If your sub has both right and left interconnects then you need a Y at the end of you sub wire coming from your receiver. Most "sub interconnect kits" come with the Y adaptor.

Radio shack wire is fine, the "y" connector is not needed. A simple sub cable will work. Check monoprice.com or Blue Jeans Cables for great online values. No need to purchase overpriced cables.

I'll second Monoprice and skip the Y, there's no need unless your AVR is sending too weak a line-level signal to engage the sub's auto-on circuitry.

Thanks guys, I will check the websites mentioned. So there is no need to buy special coaxial stuff...right? Just want to make sure it would not affect the output in any way.
