Mount TV on wall opposite the windows

Hi we are planning to mount our TV opposite a 20foot tall Wall - this is a high ceiling living room. the wall has total of 6 windows, 3 on top and 3 on bottom. right now we have blinds/curtains for the bottom 3 windows. We plan to put blinds on the top 3 windows.

Do you guys think it is o.k to mount the TV that way? the sun shines directly inside throught the top windows. Let me know what you think.

I was wondering if there will still be some light coming from the blinds

Re: Mount TV on wall opposite the windows

I have a situation where the parts of morning sun hits my computer screen through openings in my blinds it is very distracting for the short time it happens each day and I would not want direct sun light shining on a TV screen on a regular basis while I was watching.

Re: Mount TV on wall opposite the windows

Right now, there's an old rear projection TV in my living room. Around 3-5 every afternoon, the sun shines directly into the windows on the far side and you can't see the TV at all. I wouldn't recommend this unless you have a way to completely block the light.

Re: Mount TV on wall opposite the windows

My plasma is on the west wall opposite a set of east-facing windows. If I am watching a movie in the morning, I keep the blinds closed and have no problem. For just general tv watching during the day I can keep the blinds open and am not distracted by any glare or reflections.
