Ashes to Ashes on BBC America

Ashes to Ashes debuted last night on BBC America. It's a continuation of the British version of Life on Mars after Sam Tyler's presumed demise.

I enjoyed the episode. It was a bit difficult to follow as it was jammed packed with bits n' pieces to establish the premise.

If you recall in the beginning (2009 or 2008?), she had a file on Sam Tyler and was discussing Tyler with the young girl (daughter?). I don't recall whether it was revealed why she was interested in Tyler. IOW, an official capacity or just a personal interest.
