The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Howard the Duck SE? Are they kidding?

Lots of good stuff this week otherwise. I've been looking forward to seeing "Let the Right One In." Never played in my neck of the woods.

I loves me some zombies.

Re: Weekly RoundUp 3-10-2009

I'll be picking up Pinocchio on Blu-ray and South Park: Season Twelve on DVD (nothing against SP but since I have the first 11 sets on DVD and it doesn't seem like something that demands an HD viewing, I'm sticking to the DVDs). And eventually, I'll buy Milk on Blu-ray.

Toys R Us has the Pinocchio Blu-ray for $21.99.

Thanks for the prices, guys!

Immediately Pinocchio. Later on Milk and Brokeback Mountain. And I completely recommend everyone go and pick up Primal Fear for $10. Excellent movie with some honest-to-goodness extras.

I thought I read this elsewhere a day or two ago, Travis. Is there a Toys-R-Us Sunday circular today? I didn't pick up a newspaper yet, but I don't see this price on their website. It is $29.99.

Wow! I am actually buying a DVD this week: Pinocchio (which, along with Snow White, pretty much completes my Disney classics library).
Can't wait to see Let the Right One In, and also renting Milk and Rachel Getting Married.
One of my favorite albums...

Re: Weekly RoundUp 3-10-2009

Lots of great titles this week, but like a lot of folks I'll be picking up Pinocchio BD, and waiting for sales on the other stuff I want (Milk, Rachel Getting Married, Let The Right One In, Synecdoche, New York).

I had decided to stick with SD for "South Park" S12, but Robert Harris' rave has me considering the Blu...

The last Pinocchio SD-DVD release was in October of 1999 ... so I wouldn't think so!

You may as well purchase the BD version since a DVD version of the movie will be packed in with it. This is what I intend to do even though I still don't own a BD player ...

Are all of the bonus features playable on a dvd player? I don't own a blu ray player yet either & if the ONLY thing I can play is the movie I'd rather get the 2 disc dvd. On the other hand if the features will play on a dvd player I'd probably buy the blu ray combo pack so I'd be ready for the day I go blu.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa BD $27.99 - $7.50 = $20.49.

Forgot to write down the expiration dates of the deals from the shelf tags.

I got me a copy of Fireproof, though!

Thanks for the Roundup!

I'm going to give this Pinocchio movie a shot. Heard it was pretty good for a blind buy.

I'll also be giving the Witch Mountain movies a rental. I loved them when I was a kid but I haven't seen them since and I'm not sure if they'll stand the test of time.

Bill,

The second disc included with the BD package is a Blu-ray disc. I would assume that the included DVD is actually the first disc in the two disc DVD package. If that's the case then there would be an audio commentary and a music video of "When You Wish Upon a Star" included with the feature. But you'd have to wait until you acquire your Blu-ray deck before you'll be able to experience the rest of the supplements.

For those in the Northeastern US, I believe the Price Chopper supermarket chain has Transporter 3 for $14.95 this week (with their AdvantEdge Card).

The circular says "$5 OFF with Card (regular retail $19.95)."

I can't get to my store until tomorrow to check it out in person.
