(February 16, 2008) – Wes Bentley (American Beauty, Ghost Rider), two-time Academy Award® nominee Winona Ryder (Best Actress, Little Women, 1995; Best Supporting Actress, The Age of Innocence, 1994), and five-time Emmy® winner Ray Romano (TV’s “Everybody Loves Raymond”) star in The Last Word, debuting on Blu-ray™ High-Def and DVD April 21 from Image Entertainment. The dark romantic comedy about a quirky young man who writes suicide notes for other people and falls in love with the sister of one of his “clients,” also stars Katherine Boecher (Twice as Dead) and Brendan Miller (Super Sweet 16: The Movie). The Last Word will be available on Blu-ray™ High-Def for $35.98 SRP and on DVD for $27.98 SRP.

SYNOPSIS: An odd but gifted poet, Evan Merck (Wes Bentley) makes his living writing suicide notes for the soon-to-be departed. So when he meets Charlotte (Winona Ryder), the free-spirited sister of his latest client, Evan has no choice but to lie about his relationship to her late, lamented brother. Curiously attracted by his evasive charms, a smitten Charlotte begins her pursuit, forcing Evan to juggle an amorous new girlfriend, a sarcastic new client (Ray Romano) and an ever-increasing mountain of lies.

The Last Word was written and directed by Geoffrey Haley. Joe Q. Bretz, Lawrence E. Davis, Diego Matamoros, Jeff Rice, and Gary Michael Walters serve as executive producers; with David Hillary, Alexandra Milchan, Timothy Wayne Peternel, Bonnie Timmermann, and Jack Utsick as producers.
