HELP!!!!Corrupt backup (.bkf) File

Anyone know of any FREE software that fixes this. It's for someone I know and it's a 1 off thing. I don't want them or myself to spend some 100 bucks.

Microsoft makes a .bkf file restoration utility that's available for free. It works for Windows XP, Vista & Windows Server 2003 & 2008.
