I'm sorry Eric, I forgot to reply earlier, but this title is in public domain and because of that, every dvd I've seen of it has video and sometimes audio problems. I have the Alpha dvd of it, but the DVD-R copy off my satellite was just as good in my opinion.

Re: "Gung Ho" 1943 - best DVD version?

I have a Diamond Entertainment copy which they boast on their packaging "restored" on their releases but just "how" restored? It shares a disc with another movie so compression isn't what it should be thought they also released it as a seperate and not sure any better? I know I also have it on some el-cheapo WWII sets and looks more like a worn out kinescope copy where at least I can watch it on the Diamond version (sound is also ok). Wonder how these two versions compare (Alpha and Diamond?)
