AV Science sharing links again to the HTF?

After reading a post in the "Blu-ray Software" section @ AV Science Forum, the top post on page 5 of the thread "Warner releasing "Amadeus: Director's Cut" on February 10" has a link to RAH's post "A few words about...™ Amadeus -- in Blu-ray, here at the Home Theater Forum and it works!

I see that HTF links to AVS still give the following quote:
Quote:

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we thought you should know that AVS Forum has terminated the longstanding agreement that allowed HTF and AVS to share links and information freely and equally. They have announced a policy against links to other sites, including HTF, and are removing links that are posted.
We have asked the management of AVS why they no longer wish to continue our old arrangement, which we think is beneficial to the members of both sites, but AVS's management won't give us an answer.
Recent statements by AVS management denying any "block" on HTF links are misleading. It's true they do not "block" our links, but they do delete them. And if they have no problem with HTF links, as they claim, why won't they communicate with us? They are certainly quick enough to issue denials.
If you would like to see this situation resolved and the sharing arrangement fully and openly reinstated, please communicate your feelings to AVS.

* Return to the page you were previously viewing
* Go to forums index
* Email AVSForum

Thanks for your time, and again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Do you think AVS has finally come to their senses and are allowing linkage to the HTF and this nonsense is now over?

Re: AV Science sharing links again to the HTF?

I agree with Parker. Let's see if it stands the test of time.

It may not even get noticed by the "powers that be" over there.

David Bott has ignored our emails to him in regards to his staff
removing links to our forum. We are going to continue blocking
links back to AVS until we know whether they will allow links back
to us.

We would love nothing more than to share information across our
two sites, but be aware that we weren't the first to remove links and
we made every effort to contact the owner of that forum about the
situation without a reply.
