Culver City, CA (February 16, 2009) – Sex & Lies in Sin City, the Lifetime TV movie based on a true story of love gone sour and greed gone wild in Las Vegas, will be released on DVD April 28 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The all-star cast includes Mena Suvari (The Garden of Eden, American Beauty), Emmy® nominee Matthew Modine (TV’s “And the Band Played On,” “Weeds”), Oscar® winner Marcia Gay Harden (Pollock), Johnathon Schaech (Prom Night), Mark Sivertson (Felon) and Chris Ashworth (TV’s “The Wire). Sex & Lies in Sin City premiered October 25, 2008 on Lifetime TV. Executive produced by Frank Konigsberg (TV’s “Caught in the Act”), directed by Peter Medak (Species II) and written by Teena Booth (TV’s “Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal”), the gritty thriller will be available for $24.96 SRP.

Based on the book Murder in Sin City by Jeff German, Sex & Lies in Sin City tells the story of reckless casino executive Ted Binion (Modine) who seemed to have it all: money, power and a beauty queen turned stripper as girlfriend. That all changed when the girlfriend, Sandy Murphy (Suvari), found him dead from an apparent overdose in his Las Vegas home. But when Ted’s estranged sister Becky (Harden) informs police she believes Ted was murdered, a closer investigation reveals Binion’s death was no accident. Sex & Lies in Sin City is the gritty portrayal of the investigation and trial of Murphy and her ex-con boyfriend (Schaech) who attempted to steal Binion’s fortune by any means necessary. The film captures the unbelievably dark and twisted crimes, and subsequent shock, that swept through Las Vegas as the truth about Binion’s last days became disturbingly clear.
