| True Romance, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Blu-ray Bound February 10, 2009 Joining Falling Down on Blu-ray May 26 and timed with Father's Day will be two more Warner catalog male favorite films: the extended cut of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and the director's cut of True Romance. Each film will be presented in widescreen 1080p video and likely, though not confirmed, 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio. Given both of these films have already received lavish DVD treatments in recent years it comes as no surprise that the Blu-ray versions are packed with bonus features. I agree, my preference is for the theatrical version. The extended edition tarnished my enjoyment of the film so much that I was almost considering buying the original prince of thieves dvd that was a flipper with an even worse transfer. At least it was the theatrical version!!
