Where to buy a 3-foot component cable w/ RCA audio?

Sorry to ask this question, but I am unable to find a simple 3-foot component video cable w/ L/R RCA audio cable. I'd appreciate any help. I looked in monoprice.com and amazon.com, but I cannot find such a set of cables.

By the way, Blue Jeans Cable does not seems to be cheap any more. I just tried a 3 foot cable there, and it quotes me about $54 USD. I think that "Blue Jeans Cable" is copying "Monster".

Thanks.

Re: Where to buy a 3-foot component cable w/ RCA audio?

Assuming you actually mean component video (3 wires -> red, green, blue) then you're looking for a 5 conductor bundle of cable.

From the front page of Markertek -> For only $2.08 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 3FT 5-RCA Component Video/Audio Coaxial Cable (RG-59/U) | 5-RCA Component Video Cable

Less than $3, enjoy!

Blue Jean's has expensive component cables (but good prices on HDMI), but Monoprice has great prices on component cables. They'd also have good prices on stereo cables as well.

But if you're going to hook up component video, can you also go digital audio to improve the sound (over mere stereo)?

Thanks. I know I could use a toslink cable for sound, but in this particular case I only have the choice of stereo. The cable box has a digital audio output, but it does not work. Comcast has a newer box with HDMI, but I don't want it since I may move pretty soon, and they decide to keep Comcast or move to DirectTV or Dish Network.

Ciao.

You may need to go into the setup to enable this output by selecting "digital" or "Dolby Digital". That's what I had to do with my Scientific Atlanta HD-DVR from Comcast, which likewise has DVI instead of HDMI. Digital sound works just fine. It is either that or have them swap it out for a new box. There is no reason that you shouldn't be getting digital audio with the equipment you have.

Joe
