You should also consider the Joe Kane designed Samsung SP-A800B or the coming 900B, if image fidelity is top priority: Samsung SP-A800B Home Theater Projector reviews - CNET Reviews .

Re: sim2 or Pioneer Elite Projector

Save yourself some money on the Pioneer projector and just buy a JVC, same thing, less money. Or the Samsung

Re: sim2 or Pioneer Elite Projector

I guess my real question it will I notice much difference from my 720 dlp to a 1080 LCD, since only blue ray is 1080 p I dont really care about that most sports and Movies from Apple Tv and A few Blu Ray movies that look real good, I guess they would be better but that is 10% of my Watching. So Think I should replace the projector in General.

Re: sim2 or Pioneer Elite Projector

hi
the Pioneer PJ is LCOS not LCD.
How old is the Sim2?
I was just looking for some cheap priced 1080p DLPs today. Seems like the Benq w5000, and W10000 can be had very quite cheap and put out a very nice image.
