Anybody using this as a POP email client. I have Eudora 6.0 running on my old PC with W2k and with my new laptop, I am considering the latest Open Source Eudora which is supposedly fused with part of the code from Mozilla
s thunderbird (which I use at work). I'm so-so with Thunderbird, but I found thunderbird being a much better IMAP client than Eudora so I am using that with an MS Exchange server at work and Eudora on a POP email at home.
If anybody is using the latest beta of Eudora can let me know how it is going for you, that would be cool..

Re: Eudora 8.0 (beta)
I didn't realize Qualcomm had any plans after Eudora 7, which is what I've been using for years. People make fun of me for using Eudora but hey at least it doesn't suffer the virus attacks of Outlook.
Where do you get Eudora 8? From the Qualcomm site?

Re: Eudora 8.0 (beta)
Hey Dennis... You can read it off the eudora.com site but it's a new open source pop/imap client that is based on things from thunderbird (firefox) and Eudora.
I am hoping it is better than the IMAP client I use at work which is Thunderbird but better than Eudora 7.0 I tried for IMAP awhile ago. I use Eudora 7.0 at home for a POP server but I use thunderbird here. As far as where to get the executable... I thought you'd get it from eudora.com, no??
From the home page, since it is still in the beta stage:
Eudora Beta Testing Programs
I haven't tried it yet, however...

Re: Eudora 8.0 (beta)
I thought Eudora was dead long ago.
Glad they are back. Have always loved their email programs.
I would go back to using it, but on the Mac their Apple Mail client
is so well integrated with address book and iCal that I don't think
it would be worth using Eudora within that platform.
