I've just bought an Elonex Artisan PC and I am feeding the optical SPDIF output to my SONY AV receiver. When playing videos on the Artisan, the receiver only shows PCM 48KHz and plays front stereo speakers only. I have tried playing with the Sound Manager settings on the media centre, but cannot get 5.1 down the optical link. I believe I may need to use SPDIF 'passthrough' but don't know how to achieve this. I'm using XP MCE with SP3 - can anyone help, please?
