Hello,

I am leaning towards buying the Onkyo HT-S6100, but only have room for 5.1 in the room and am thinking instead of not using two speakers I buy, it may be better to get a receiver and 5.1 speakers separates. I've read on here and CNet that the video processing with the Onkyo 605 and 606 for upconverting standard DVD's is subpar. My questions are:

1) Can anyone comment on the quality of the video processing of the Onkyo receiver that is included in the HT-S6100?

2) I'm assuming this video problem is only related to upconverting and doesn't have any bad effect on Blu Ray discs. Is this true?

3) Is the general consensus on this forum that buying a receiver and separate speaker package gives a better product than a HTIB? I am looking to keep a budget around $750.

4) Could anyone recommend an A/V receiver and speaker set combo that would make that budget and provides a better experience than the HT-S6100?

Thanks for any information!

Jeff
