Re: WHV Press Release: TCM Greatest Classics Film Collection Wave 2

Will Jeremiah Johnson be a new transfer... wasn't a Special Edition supposed to be on the way for a long time?

I actually might be interested in some of these, though it'd require the selling off of certain titles on eBay. Is art work available anywhere on the internet?

Re: WHV Press Release: TCM Greatest Classics Film Collection Wave 2

I got these already.

My first impression is that this "greatest classics series" is recycling previously released and easily available titles instead of new releases of previously unavailable titles.

It's a waste.

Robert Downey Jr is NOT Sherlock Holmes.

Re: WHV Press Release: TCM Greatest Classics Film Collection Wave 2

Rather amusing that they have SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS under the banner of Broadway musicals since it was produced for the screen first and only years later transferred to the stage (as were MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS and SINGIN' IN THE RAIN for that matter). Perhaps they should have chosen KISMET, BRIGADOON, or THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN instead for that slot.
