Hello,
I've been doing some looking online at various wireless rear speaker options for a new Home Theater Setup. Unfortunately, there is simply no way that I can run wire to the rear.
So here's what I've found, and I was hoping to get your thoughts on it:
1) Rocketfish: Rocketfish - Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker Kit
However, the Receiving end of the wireless signal Speaker-level supports 4 to 16 ohm speakers with an Audio output power: 2 × 25 W (RMS) into 4 ohms (no more than 10% THD).
I'm a total Home theater Noob, so would that even be enough power to run a B&W M1? Here are the M1 specs:
Nominal impedance8Ω (minimum 4.8Ω)
Recommended amplifier power 20W - 100W into 8Ω on unclipped programme
Despite Googling and Wikipedia, I'm having trouble understanding what this means and if the Rocketfish has enough oomph to run a decent pair of rear surrounds like the M1's or something similar.
2) I could get the AudioEngine AW1 Wireless Adapter. Audioengine - Upgrade your music From reading the manual, I would have to use Self-Powered Speakers like the AudioEngine A5's, which seem nice from the reviews. However, I'm concerned that they only talk about it with regards to "Music" and not "Movies/TV". I'm also having trouble understanding what it means when it says RCA Output. What does this mean on the receiver and is it limiting in anyway say when I'm watching TV or watching a movie on a Blu Ray?
Thanks for your help!
