Need Suggestion For AV receiver

Hi there.

New to this world and to this forum.

I am thining of buying a Home theater music system. I just have a LCD TV but me and my wife we dont watch it (Not very much into movies)

But we listen lot of music and we also watch lot of YouTube. Yes Youtube.

I need a receiver and speaker suggestions.

Ready to spend Upto 1k on Speakers and receiver.

I also need to know if we can hook up a computer audio output to this system (for youtube and other music on computer) I am aware that Ipod can be hooked up to newer systems

I just know that Yamaha and Denon are 2 brands which are good. But my knowledge ends there.

Please help. I know its late but Need to get this thing for holiday

OK, in that case....

How about some Axiom M60's from the factory outlet - $900
Add an Onkyo 606 for about $350 if you can, or get the 506 for $179.

You could go with the Axiom M50's as well, but the M60's will give you a fuller sound (is fuller even a word).

Yes, you can hook a computer into an AVR. Your computer has to have some output - HDMI, Digital, or even L/R Analog. If it does not, you can get an inexpensive external Sound Blaster (around $25).

Just remember... Garbage In. Garbage Out. Better speakers will reveal all the problems with compressed audio. Don't expect YouTube to sound good.

Stick around for a few days and see what everyone else recommends. Since it is the holiday season, it may take a while to get responses.
