Vizio maximum resolution.

I just got a new bedroom set: a 26' Vizio VW26L LCD. According to the manual it accepts up to 1080i signals. Last night I hooked my PS3 up to it and, low and behold, the set displayed the 1080p signal just fine. Should I stick to 1080i/720p because the manual says its the highest resolution or can I go with 1080p without worry?

Re: Vizio maximum resolution.

It can accept a 1080p signal, but the TV is still displaying the image at it's native resolution which is 1366 x 768.

Basically, just try the different output resolutions on the PS3 and choose the one that looks best to you. Whatever resolution you choose, your TV will always display it at 1366 x 768. But you may get better results from certain settings depending on how well the TV scales versus the PS3.
