Best camera for around $200

Does anyone know what the best (and worst) digital cameras are for around $200? I am replacing the one that I got for Christmas last year that has terrible picture quality. Any suggestions on brands or what type of info I should look for? Thanks in advance!

I would suggest considering either the Fuji F100fd w/ the current $100 rebate (to bring it into your price range) or a comparably priced Canon model (like the SD880IS, if you can actually find it for that price). You can find a comparative review of some of these cameras at the following link:

880IS gets my vote too, Pogue picked the 800IS as the best bang for the buck of the year. Dunno how much faith I'd put in KR for digicams...
