Home DVD server help??

I will install a PC in my home and configure a home DVD server.. what program will be a good option to configure it??

i want to store hundreds of DVD and want to have a list with description of the titles...

I hope your not asking what program to use to rip the DVD's as that would be against forum rules... But if your asking what to use to run the system after you have ripped them.. I would use Linux MCE .. IMO it is by far the best HTPC option out there. And it's free. There is a real good Youtube video out there that demos it. Just google Linux MCE and it should pop up.

We very much appreciate the attention to the rules, and that's a logical line to draw, but it's too fine for us. The very notion of a system like this depends on numerous violations of HTF Rule 5. The OP has gotten an answer; so let's leave this here.
