Why the delay for Touched by an Angel: Season 5 and still no Promised Land?

This is the final crossover season with its underrated spin-off series. Does anyone know why it didn't make their release schedule in 2008?

Amazon has a placeholder up for the fifth season (in case anyone wants to sign up):

Amazon.com: Touched by an Angel - The Fifth Season: Movies & TV

If and when this comes, I hope there won't be any edits or music replacement and the concluding "Diagnosis Murder" episode "Promises to Keep" (which began on "Promised Land's" second season episode "Total Security") should be included as a bonus.

Disney/Buena Vista/Miramax: Please put Beautiful Girls on Blu-ray with bonus features and the original theatrical trailer in 1080p, and an anamorphic re-release with bonus features and the original theatrical trailer day-and-date on DVD. Thanks!

I am also really disappointed with this, this is one of my favourite shows, used to watch it all the time on Hallmark channel. I really want Season 5 on TBAA and Promised Land on DVD too

Re: Why the delay for Touched by an Angel: Season 5 and still no Promised Land?

"Promised Land" is one of my unreleased "holy grails" and I did e-mail CBS/Paramount in the past about it. They forwarded my request, but I guess it didn't amount to much as we're still waiting. This series was a source of comfort when my Mom was in the hospital. I don't remember the episode, but it was on in the waiting room. I've been a huge fan and its crossover episodes with "Touched by an Angel" ever since.

Still hoping we might hear something from Paramount on Season 5 any way of contacting them to find out?

Re: Why the delay for Touched by an Angel: Season 5 and still no Promised Land?

I sent an email to Paramount - PHE_CustomerService@Paramount.com

after a month, and having to resend it asking why no one had answered me - i finally got a reply:

There is currently no release date for Touched by an Angel.

this is not what i wanted the answer to be, but at least i got an answer, finally.

maybe if a lot of people bombard them with emails, asking for season 5+, they will finally get the message and do something

Re: Why the delay for Touched by an Angel: Season 5 and still no Promised Land?

I'll e-mail them about "Touched by an Angel" and again about "Promised Land" shortly after I first follow-up on a separate release for "MacGyver's" two made-for-TV movies, now that I know they actually do respond at this address. (They listen to "The Fugitive" fans; yet, ignore the fan base for this series and Gord and Dave's past inquiries on this matter. What is wrong with this picture?!)

They have "Touched by an Angel" back on the schedule.  The bad news is these are "best-of" releases.  Looks like CBS/Paramount has officially abandoned season sets.

I guess I won't be completing the final crossover with "Promised Land".

I'm hoping its a test run whether or not they should continue with the season releases. If they feature episodes from future seasons I may purchase them in the hopes of seeing more season sets. I love this show and would love to see the whole thing released along with Promised Land.

Oh, this is a test for sure, given one disc is all new-to-DVD episodes and the second has at least one if not two new-to-DVD episodes.

I'm actually not collecting TBAA, but remember watching it and my fiance's mother is a fan, so might get these for her for Christmas.

So much TV...

So little money!
